Aeron, my Green Office Chair

As practical (not a good word for cheap or Scottish?), I have used whatever Chair I had available in the House of my Office Chair. I have done so since 1985 when I started working at home. That practice is not always convenient, based on my discomfort and back problems.

After approximately four years to make, I broke down and bought a seat at one of the big box office supply. A high back office chair looked so professional that I went with that style. I could not afford a leather chair that my dad had, so I went with a cloth Chair. I thought I had really improved my seating arrangement. I had been relaxed, the seat, but I was more comfortable than I had been before. Of course, I now had an Office Chair--unlike any of my dining room chairs that I had used, but the first that just doesn't suit me. I have now gone through several chairs, I can almost start to my office chair shop!

Office chairs look as if they were easy to buy and use. I suppose I have shown that this is not the case. I bought what I thought was Executive chairs, reception chairs, fabric chairs, leatherette chairs, chairs with arms and chairs without, in a meeting the ball, and I have also bought ergonomic chairs.

My first ergonomic chair had an interesting and promising design. I had two problems with it, however. Small issue was that the President be tilted me forward, and I had to fight to maintain the level of headquarters--I assume that the base was too long for me. But the biggest problem was the scent. For the first two weeks, I am in my Office for more than two hours at a time because the smell would bother my very much sinuses. It surprised me smell lasted so long, especially given that my Office was in the Yurt, at the time, and in Sweden has a good ventilation system (wonderful ways to say air exchange through and around the walls was active). Even after a week long trip were overpowered smell me. Fortunately, not disturbed my larger half Assistant, so he bought it from me for her to use (she was a graduate of one of my office chair experiments). So much for the ergonomic Desk Chair.

I had loved Aeron chairs in the year. The ergonomic, in several sizes to fit all the stature, and recycled materials that can be recycled at the end of the chairs, long life, but the price kept me away. After listening to several of my friends rave about their Aeron chairs, it was finally time for me to indulge in comfort. Herman Miller Aeron, and have they put thoughts in their creation!

First, I have a site which is my size. Aerons is available in three sizes: a Papa Chair (size C), a Mama Chair (size B) and a Baby Chair (size A)--I bought size a and my larger half bought size c. I have the tissues of the benefits that breathe--cell walls waves is the name they gave the (sound jazzyI think). Padded arms adjust up and down and swings in and out. I can bring back as much or as little as I want and has lumbar support-where are my lumbar vertebrae (great concept).

And because I love having a comfortable Office Chair I love even more that it is Earth-friendly. I came to appreciate the Aeron chairs when I read cradle to cradle, by William McDonough and Michael Good young art. About two-thirds of each Chair is made of recycled materials and approximately ninety-four percent of each Chair is recyclable. They seem to be fond of saying, "even if it is black, it is green"--and so do I.

My office chair search has ended with Auntie Aeron chair. I am comfortable. It is green, making me even greener. My better half think that way too. But another way may we greener!
